Hi, I’m Crystal! I’m really glad you’re here, and I look forward to getting to know you. I’ve been a counselor at SHC since June 2025 and plan to be here for the long term. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Sam Houston in 2020, and my background is primarily in community mental health.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages, and I have a special passion for supporting children and helping families feel more connected and understood. My approach is collaborative and supportive—I truly believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we work toward your goals.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrate other approaches based on what feels most helpful for you. When working with children and adolescents, I often incorporate play therapy to create a space where they feel safe, seen, and free to express themselves.

In counseling, my outlook and goals are that I hope to be able to help bring families together and provide services to children or teenagers struggling with everyday adversities.
